SEAMUS DONOHUE NAMED WCHA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Michigan Tech senior Jake Lucchini has been named the WCHA Offensive Player of the Week and sophomore Seamus Donohue is the WCHA Defensive Player of the Week. Lucchini had five points in Tech’s WCHA sweep at Ferris State while Donohue added three assists.

Lucchini, a native of Trail, British Columbia, led all WCHA players in points on the weekend, tying him for fifth in the nation. He had a pair of assists Friday and three points Saturday with two goals and an assist, including the game-winner in the second period. Lucchini is on a three-game point streak with eight points (four goals, four assists). He also has four goals in the last three games. Lucchini leads the Huskies with 11 points to rank fourth in the WCHA. He takes 4.62 shots per game to lead the conference and rank fifth in the nation.
